White Enhancer (reflector), one electronic ballast, two new 4' T8 lamps plus new sockets and brackets. Combination of new electronic ballasts plus added White Enhancer provided more light to be reflected to desk area.

 

SCOPE OF PROJECT:
Existing 2x4 fluorescent fixtures were using 2 magnetic ballasts and 4-34watt T12 lamps. Nordco retrofit the old fixtures to White Enhancer, new ballasts and new T8 lamps; taking out half the lamps and yet improving the light.

ENERGY SAVINGS: The old 2x4 4-lamp fixture operates at 168 total watts and was retrofitted to White Enhancer (reflector) one new 2-lamp universal (120v/277v) electronic ballast and two new 4' T8 lamps (same as lamps in warehouse) at 48 total watts providing a reduction of 120 watts or a 70% $ energy savings.

IMPROVED LIGHT: You can see by the photos the lighting was much improved. You have MORE light, BETTER light at 70% savings plus half the inventory of lamps and ballasts removed. In this office before retrofit of four fluorescent fixtures there were 16 old 4'-34W T12 lamps and 8 old magnetic ballasts. Now you have 4 efficient electronic ballasts and 8 new efficient 4' T8 lamps.

DISCONTINUED INVENTORY: The old magnetic ballasts are no longer produced. The old T12 lamps are to be discontinued (the 40W T12 already not produced).

INVENTORY SAVINGS: All areas retrofitted (Total offices, warehouse, firehouse, conference rooms) use the same 4' T8 lamp saving TOTAL inventory expense of keeping 3 different T12 lamps in stock. Now maintenance has 1 lamp source of 4' T8 lamps.

HOUR/LIFE SAVINGS: The new T8 lamps have longer life 30,000 hour vs. 20,000 hour life (savings in maintenance).

AIR CONDITIONING SAVINGS: Old ballasts operate and produce 140° temperature…new electronic ballasts at 50° temperature = A/C Savings.

WARRANTY: There is a 3-year warranty on lamps and 5-year manufacture warranty on new ballasts vs. old lamps/ballasts – no warranty.

 

SCOPE OF PROJECT:
There were two different fixture types. 48 each 8' 2 T12 lamp strips using magnetic ballasts + two power grove T12 lamps and 20 each 8'2 95W H.O. T12 lamp strips with different style magnetic ballasts. Nordco retrofit these old fixtures to White Enhancer, new electronic ballasts and new 4' T8 (5000K) lamps.

ENERGY SAVINGS: The old 8'2 lamp power grove fixtures operate at 462 total watts and were retrofitted to White Enhancer (reflector) 2 new 3-lamp universal (120v/277v) electronic ballast and six (6) new 4' T8 lamps (same as lamps in office areas). This conversion operates at 174 total watts providing a reduction of 286 watts/fixture or 62% $ savings. The old 8' strip with 2 each 95W H.O. lamps used 222 watts and was retrofit with the White Enhancer, 1 each 4-lamp universal (120/277v) electronic ballast and four 4' T8 lamps at 98 watts providing a reduction of 124 watts or a 56% $ savings.

IMPROVED LIGHT: You can see by the photos the lighting was much improved and your lighting costs reduced by more than half. Please notice in the BEFORE retrofit fixtures that 50% of the light from the BEFORE strip 8' fixtures is directed upward. Our new White Enhancer directs light to the surface.

INVENTORY SAVINGS: All areas retrofitted (Total offices, warehouse, firehouse, conference rooms) now use the same 4' T8 lamp saving TOTAL inventory expense of keeping 3 different T12 lamps in stock. Now maintenance has 1 lamp source of 4' T8 lamps. Also one specific electronic ballast being used, especially since they are universal 120/277. TOTAL no longer needs to inventory 120v and 277v ballasts…another maintenance savings. One more benefit of this lighting retrofit upgrade is one locking socket now being used vs. four (4) different type sockets for various T12 old lamps.

HOUR/LIFE SAVINGS: The new T8 lamps have longer life (triple life over the old 8' T12) 30,000 hour vs. 10,000 hour life (savings in maintenance).

WARRANTY: There is a 3-year warranty on new 4' T8 lamps and 5-year manufacture warranty on new electronic ballasts.
